Frequently asked questions

Please find below some FAQs. If I have not covered your enquiry, please contact me here with your specific question.

Do you offer a gift-wrapping service?

I gift wrap all my artworks, whether they are gifts or not.
I want all my collectors/recipients to have that special unwrapping experience.

Your artwork will be wrapped in white tissue paper and then in my exclusive black, satin-sheen paper with white satin ribbon, finished off with my signature wax seal. It will also come with its certificate of authenticity.

If you would like your artwork to be wrapped in a more appropriately themed paper (for weddings, milestone birthdays etc), then please let me know and I will do everything I can to assist you at no extra cost.

I have placed my order; how soon will I receive my painting?

As soon as you have placed your order, it will take 24 hours for processing, this will include the gift wrapping and packing for safe transit. The artwork will usually be dispatched within 3 days of purchase.

I will keep you informed of dispatch times and send a tracking code (if appropriate).

If I am away on leave, or for any other reason, away from my studio, please rest assured I will still communicate with you. You will be kept informed of where your artwork is in the dispatch process, to ensure you have clear expectations.

Do you take commissions?

Overall, yes, I do. The commission process is something I really enjoy. It is an honour to be asked to do this for you, especially if it’s for a special occasion.

If you would like to talk about a commission, please feel free to contact me here, so we can start discussing your ideas for your bespoke artwork.

You will be involved with the artwork from start to finish. Along the creative journey, you will receive work-in-progress photos and other updates. This is to ensure there are no disappointments for you along the way. You can rest assured you will have an artwork to cherish at the end of the commission process!

I do have the right to decline a commission; this may be due to the timelines involved, or the subject matter requested. I will always be open with you and we can discuss alternative arrangements if appropriate.

Do your artworks contain hazardous materials?

All my artworks are non-toxic and totally safe.

I am a mixed media artist. Most of my work is created using acrylic paint, acrylic inks, acrylic mediums and pens. I often use soft pastels, charcoal, watercolours and my own hand-crafted collage papers. On occasion I use printed materials such as old maps, books and postcards.

My work is suitable to hang in a nursery, or rooms where children and pets frequent.

Are all your artworks framed?

Hanging arrangements for all my artworks are described  in my on-line store summaries.

Most of my work is supplied framed. You are very welcome to enquire about changing the frame to suite your requirements, but an extra cost may be involved.

Artworks on canvas and wooden panels are always ready to hang, so you can place them on your wall as soon as you receive them.

When artworks are on paper and not framed, they will be supplied with a backboard and matt, making them ready for your framing preference.

What happens if I don’t like the artwork when it arrives?

It is always my intention that I want you to be totally happy with your new artwork.

If in the event the artwork is not what you were expecting, then I will offer a full refund.

You are required to inform me by email, within 14 days of purchase, that you wish to request a refund.

Once agreed, you are required to pack the artwork and arrange delivery (this includes transit costs and insurance), which will use the same carrier service that delivered your artwork.

As soon as the artwork has been delivered safely to me, I will issue the refund by the same means the purchase was made. This will be done within 14 days of receipt of the artwork.

What if my painting arrives damaged?

All artwork is carefully wrapped and packed to reduce the risk of damage. When an artwork is purchased and is due for shipment (not collection), your artwork will be fully insured for transit.

If for any reason your artwork has been damaged in transit, please take as many photos as possible and record details of the damage. You will need to contact me as soon as possible and send me details of the damage as well as clear photographs.

I will get back to you immediately to discuss further. We will consider the available options and the incident will be treated as a priority.

What level of customer care do you offer?

I pride myself in offering exemplary customer service.

Over the years I have built up a high level of trust and care with all my clients, both in the UK and internationally and subsequently I have had lots of repeat business from them.

I know and appreciate the importance of prompt, clear communication. If you have any issues during the purchase of your art or any time after, such as accidental damage, please contact me. I will do all that I can to assist you.
